Ham Chowder
3/4 Cup Ham (chunked)
1/4 Cup Diced Onion
1/4 Cup of Celery (I used 1 tsp of celery salt instead.)
1 Cup Chicken Broth
1 Cup diced potato
2 Tb. Flour
1 1/3 Cup Milk
1/4 tsp Dill
Saute onion and celery in butter or olive oil, add ham and cook till slightly brown. At Chicken broth and potatoes and cook until the potatoes are tender.
Mix the milk and flower together and add to the soup, simmer until thickened.
Add dill, and serve!!
While eating I thought of lots of different ways I could do this recipe...like adding corn, and/or cheese. I even thought if I didn't have ham I could use hamburger - and it might even taste good with cabbage.
Our family gave it five stars, definitely a keeper! =D
